Aalto University, Finland

Aalto University was formed in 2010 through a merger of three leading Finnish universities representing the fields of science and technology, design and art, and business and economics. The school was named after the Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto, who designed many of the university’s buildings on the Otaniemi campus.

Aalto University’s ranking 2023 QS World University Ranking, is first among Finnish universities and 109th in the overall worldwide ranking. At Aalto Scientific research and artistic activities are carried out at six schools and their departments and units.

The Program

All lectures are taught by Aalto University faculty or leading professionals in the field. In addition, the students are supported throughout their studies at Aalto University by a designated Program Coordinator.
The Program covers:
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Generative AI workshop and Reinforcement Learning…with an exciting dose of language & cultural immersion.

What to do in Helsinki

Swim and sauna

 

The seawater pools of Allas Sea Pool are located in the heart of the city, adjacent to the Market Square. Alternatively, the sauna and restaurant complex of Löyly can be found on the southernmost coast of Helsinki. Another good option is Kulttuurisauna, where you can enjoy a peaceful sauna and swim experience just 15 minutes away from the city center.
Visit the Helsinki Cathedral and grab a bite at a nearby café
is shining white cathedral is a symbol of Helsinki for most tourists. e structure was designed by Carl Ludvig Engel and is distinctive for its unique emerald-green copper dome. Nearby, you can find lovely cafés serving traditional Finnish baked goods and a cup of tea or coffee. Take a few steps from the cathedral, and you’ll find the lively market square filled with local handicrafts and traditional treats.

Explore Suomenlinna Sea Fortress

Take a ferry from the Market Square to visit the 18th century fortress. A must for history enthusiasts, Suomenlinna is absolutely beautiful in the summer. Just prepare for the wind!

Geek out at the Libraries

The National Library, located in the heart of the city, is every bookworm’s fantasy. Designed by the same architect as the Cathedral, this building is the oldest and biggest scientific library in Helsinki. For a more modern structure, check out the impressive Oodi right next to the central railway station. At Oodi, you’ll find 3D printers, book-carrying robots, and much more.
